Following the sell-out success last year, Great Wines of the Andes USA returns to San Francisco on September 29 at the Golden Gate Club.

This interactive walk-around grand tasting event not only offers the chance to discover 100 of the most beautiful wines from Chile, Argentina and Uruguay, you will also get the chance to meet dozens of top winemakers and winery owners.

From malbec and cabernet to pinot noir and chardonnay, all the featured wines have been handpicked by James Suckling after scoring 90 points or higher. The quality of winemaking in the region is better than it has ever been.

Earlier this year, James and his team of tasters took off to Chile and Argentina for the sixth time in four years and tasted more than 2,300 wines. The message is clear: this region now knows how to produce wines of outstanding quality.

Award-winning recording artist Surahn Sidhu is flying in from Australia to once again provide the soundtrack to the event, with “fun Cuban funk and regional rarities.” Sidhu was on guitar, bass, and vocals for Empire of the Sun for several years and frequently goes on tour across the globe.
